Spring 2013 will be the season of neon, but not just in it's solid form. Neon hues are pairing with the subtle-ness of its opposite, nude. It was all over the runways this season seen above at Threeasfour and at both, Kate Spade NY and Christian Dior. The color contrast makes it easy and wearable for those who are not quite accustomed to such bright hues. My favorite way to wear this updated trend? On nails! Try pairing OPI- Don't Pretzel My Buttons with Essie-Funky Limelight for a look similar to the Christian Dior ensemble above, without breaking the bank.

I love those two together! :)

Really perceptive post. I actually used to hate neons, but I'm totally digging them paired with the nude color! It gives them such a sophisticated sexy look, as opposed to the in-your-face brashness of neons alone.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see how this trend evolves, and I definitely want to try it out for myself. I'm thinking nude colored pants with a sheer neon shirt. Or I could do the nails too. If I didn't bite them so badly.
Cool blog girl.
Love that you've got something to say.

Thanks for the feedback, it's greatly appreciated! I was never much of a neon girl myself. Or nude for that matter, but the combo of the two is undeniable.
DeleteThat first dress! I will become rich and famous just so that I can prance around my manor with it on.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great?! I love the nude lining underneath!
DeleteI love the lime colour that is everywhere. I think it looks fantastic as a long dress with tanned skin.
